duane goerzen: lead pastor

What do dismantling sawmills, running a fitness club, selling cars, and serving as a pastor have in common? They are all jobs that Lead Pastor Duane Goerzen has had in his life! Duane truly is a man that anyone can relate too, which is what makes him such a great pastor.
Three years ago, Duane joined the MRCC staff (for a second time around), and loves being able to play a role in seeing people set free in Jesus. His BRE in Biblical Studies from Briercrest Bible College prepared him for the job, but his passion to see people continue to learn what it really means to live life together on this earth, is what motivates him each day.

Duane’s family is his biggest support system with best friend and wife Mel helping in his ministry. He and Mel have been married for 18 years and have three sons: Elijah (16) who was made for the stage; Jesse (14) who is resourceful and determined; and Micah (5) who has the Energizer Bunny beat on a good day.

When not preaching, leading, and meeting with people at Starbucks, Duane can be found reading, running with Mel, cheering for the Broncos, or working towards the family dream of a Ranch.

When asked what is one thing about you that most people don’t know, Duane responded, “That I am actually a very private person and relish time on my own (especially in the outdoors) – I’m also a bit of a ‘red-neck’ country boy”   Email Duane.
