jonathan headley: youth pastor
Jonathan is our leadership representative for the dramatic and wacky side of our church family.
Because of his flair for unexpected sound effects, we encouraged him to hang out with our youth and kids, and to make music to the Lord, which he does sometimes on Sunday morning as a worship leader. When he’s not in the office, you can find him connecting with the sheep: little, big, young, old, baaaa.
Jonathan also keeps busy with four young kids (7 and under) and a beautiful wife to spend time with. Because his dramatic aspirations never panned out (drama major at Trinity Western), you might find him working on home improvements hoping to get on one of those reno shows. He also enjoys playing guitar, singing and writing music. In soccer season, he attempts to keep up with younger legs by training for an imaginary triathlon that might someday become reality.
By day, he is an associate pastor… but it was not always so. Jonathan was a lunch monitor, paper boy, bag boy, bus boy, water lily boy, ESL teacher, and YWAM world traveler.
Jonathan has a passion for honest, transparent, pursuit of knowing God. He desires to hear and know God, and to lead others to the same pursuit. Someday, you might find him playing guitar and acting out Bible stories for a mountain tribe of Iran or a village in northern Africa.
