The Alpha Course runs at MRCC every fall and spring for 12 weeks on Wednesday nights from 6:15pm until around 9:00pm. There are a number of different volunteer positions required each semester, including: kitchen helpers, table set up and take down, cookie makers, prayer team, and support services. To volunteer contact Roger & Heather.

As a community, we share in communion once a month on the first Sunday, in addition to more informal times together. Our communion teams are an essential part of this as they prepare the juice and bread trays for communion during the Sunday service. They serve on a rotational basis, one month on, two months off.
If you would like to assist in this way, please contact the office.
Throughout the year there are a lot functions that require many hands. If you like meeting new people by serving others, why not lend a hand on the hospitality team. Anyone can help, young and old. No previous experience is required, we can train you. Contact the office.
This ministry also consists of our team of baristas that volunteer at the Well. This is where everyone can enjoy coffee, mochas, teas, cold beverages and fresh baked items after the Sunday service. Barista training is provided. If you love to serve people and are able to commit to one Sunday morning a month contact Miguel & Frances.
The MRCC Missions Team exists to:
- promote, advocate and care for those members of MRCC that God has called/is calling to be involved in missions work apart from our community;
- promote and advocate for other MRCC approved missions initiatives.
For more information about serving on this team, please email Dennis.
The Multimedia Team serves by supporting the Sunday morning service audio-visually with the help of Powerpoint, Easy Worship, Video, and other presentation software. Partnered with the visual is the audio. Our sound crew are also a crucial aspect of this ministry and are responsible for ensuring that what you hear will encourage you to engage with the community in worship. These roles require people who are technically inclined, can work under pressure and problem-solve. All the volunteers working on this team are on a rotational basis and there are tasks for every level of experience.
If you are interested, but don’t have training, we can train you! Contact the office.
Do you enjoy working with your hands?
Do you have skills in maintenance or building? Do you have a green thumb? With every season comes yard work, painting, cleaning, and general maintenance. It is hard to keep up with the things that need to be built and land that needs to be cared for! If you love to work outdoors and can assist in things like cutting the grass, pruning trees, or volunteering your trade skills for indoor projects, contact the office who will help find the right project for you! We also have a work bee every other month on the last Saturday of the month at 9:00am.
First impressions mean so much! If you love to meet new people and help them to feel comfortable, then being a Sunday morning greeter may just be the role for you!
Greeters serve on a rotational basis for about 45 min. on a Sunday. Contact Glady.
The importance as an usher can’t be overstated. Your impact is enormous both in meeting the needs of people and in keeping the church service running smoothly. Ushers serve on a rotational basis, usually 1 month on, 2 month’s off. Contact Tom.
It’s hard sometimes to put the words of Jesus into action. It’s hard sometimes to serve and love the hurting and the broken. It can be daunting. It’s a big world out there. If you are looking for a simple but profound way to put some actions to the words, come out and join us in the Salvation Army Van. We take it out Saturday nights to provide a meal, coffee, and blankets to the homeless and needy in downtown Maple Ridge. Sometimes all it takes is a blanket and a prayer to transform a life. For more information about servicing on this team, contact Derek Campbell.
