A few years ago we had a strong word form the Lord that we were to establish some dedicated space in our facility for prayer.
This is a very special place physically in our church building. The presence of the Lord is strong there. It was an artistic labour of love creating this place, capped by a beautiful mural on a feature wall, painted by one of our creative folk. While we acknowledge that God can and does work anywhere, there is also something special about places specifically given to him for his purposes. Our prayer room is one of those places. One of our very special friends, Donna Jordan, had a word about this room. She called it “The Boiler Room”, because what happens here will significantly impact the ministry and life of MRCC. We have named the prayer room The Tabernacle, a place where the Lord dwells.
This room is used for scheduled prayer meetings, and is open for use anytime for anyone in our church. We have a vision to see this room occupied and used 24-7, with people called of God to pray for our church and our community. Do you have a call to pray? Do we have a place for you! Let’s purposefully press in to the presence of God together.
2 Chronicles 7:14 … if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
