barb: children's ministry coordinator

Barb loves to motivate and encourage others to meet their goals and have fun doing it. To understand our differences as positive signs to build co-operation, trust and respect.

With a background in psych. nursing and working in the social services field, she has had opportunity to work with special needs, and fragmented people. It has been very rewarding, but now that she has retired she has the opportunity for new and exciting adventures like: Reading, gardening, but most of all spending more quality time with her husband, 4 married children and their spouses, and especially her 13 amazing grandchildren! (Who are her ongoing inspirations).

Barb loves the Lord and enjoys spending time in prayer and studying and meditating on the Word.

She believes that we were created to have fellowship with one another, and that honest communication with others is important; to minimize stress, create emotional bonds, strengthen relationships, stimulate creative ideas and discover new ones; as we develop “character” while learning to be a reflection of Jesus and carry out his greatest commandment to: “ Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and, Love your neighbor as yourself” Luke 10:27

Barb does not enjoy: having her picture taken; pineapple or cats with attitude! On the other hand she loves children and wants to encourage their honesty, laughter and delight in life – and to help them join us in a life-long pursuit of God, learning to trust and love Him.
